Leading Well
A membership space for living and leading well.

You’re not imagining it
If this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.
There was a point in my career where everything looked right on the surface, senior roles, responsibility, and trust from others, yet internally I felt like I was constantly catching up.
I worked harder. Stayed busy. Filled my diary. I assumed that if I could just keep going, the doubt would eventually quieten.
It didn’t.
What I’ve learned since is that this feeling is rarely about capability. More often, it’s about the environments we’re in, the expectations we absorb, and the stories we tell ourselves about what “good leadership” is supposed to look like.
Leading Well exists because of that realisation.
Not to fix you.
Not to add more.
But to create space to think, reflect, and lead in a way that is sustainable, grounded, and human.
“Steph put the audience at ease and created a space where people felt safe to share personal stories.”
• Constantly busy, but not always sure you’re focusing on the right things
• Capable, but carrying self-doubt you rarely say out loud
• Tired of leadership spaces that feel performative or relentlessly upbeat
• Like you’re holding responsibility for others, with very little space for yourself
• Unsure whether you’re behind, stuck, or simply at a pause point
If you’re here, you might be feeling…
You don’t need a dramatic career pivot.
You don’t need another productivity hack.
You might just need room to think well.
“I see now that this was a learned behaviour - firefighting and avoiding making time for myself.”
Sometimes I couldn’t keep up with every post, and the longer I left it the more I avoided it. What brought me back was Steph reaching out personally and asking how she could help.
That level of care and attention is exemplary. Her honest, refreshing approach motivated me to rethink how I spend my time — and to finally make time for myself.

Topics we explore
Rather than a rigid curriculum, Leading Well follows themes that many leaders quietly wrestle with, such as:
Imposter phenomenon and self-trust
The myth of busyness and sustainable leadership
Boundaries, energy, and responsibility
Values-led decision making
Confidence without performance
Each explored with reflection, context, and real-world application.
I lead a large, complex organisation in the charity and health sector. I sit on boards, chair organisations, and hold responsibility for people, funding, and services.
I’m also an award-winning author, speaker, volunteer leader, and someone who has experienced self-doubt while being trusted by others.

That probably tells you something.
Leading Well isn’t about becoming more impressive.
It’s about becoming more who you really are.
If that feels like what you need right now, you’re very welcome here.
And if it doesn’t - that’s ok. It will be here is you ever need it.
